With the holidays coming up, we’re all looking for the “perfect gift.” Personally, I’m not a huge fan of hitting up the mall for gifts, unless I know exactly what the giftee wants. I’d much prefer to find something unique and creative for the loved ones in my life.
Granted, there are some exceptions. I, for instance, will never be disappointed with a Barnes and Noble giftcard. I love to help my library grow!
So are you looking for some gift ideas for the foodie in your life? Check out some of my personal favorites!
1. A Tastebook book or gift certificate.
One of my favorite gifts I received last year was a gift certificate to Tastebook.

This site lets you make a personalized cookbook with all of your favorite recipes. They have a database of recipes that you can use, but you can also include your personal recipes. Upload pictures of your food to go with the recipes, too!
I love my Tastebook. The book I ordered came with 100 recipes, but at the time of printing I only had 63 recipes to print. Conveniently, I received ‘credit’ for the remaining 37 recipes, so I will be able to order them in the future and only have to pay for shipping!
2. Apron. I don’t know why, but I have been obsessed with the idea of cute aprons lately. Probably because I keep spilling on myself when I bake. And because there are some really adorable, sassy aprons out there now. Some of my favorites?

Left to Right: Bella Vintage Inspired HOT Chili Peppers Full Apron by Boojiboo on Etsy; Vintage Inspired Brown Owl Half Apron by Boojiboo on Etsy; On A Whim – Scarlett Chic – Half Apron by sassyapron on Etsy.
3. Reusable sandwich/snack bags. An eco-friendly way to eat on-the-go. Easily washable, and a great replacement for all those plastic baggies.

Those aprons are so darn cute!
Those aprons are absolutely adorable, but my real comment is about Tastebook. I’m curious about your experience making a cookbook on there. How easy it is to make your own cookbook on there?
I saw the website mentioned in a newspaper article this morning and was thinking about doing that do my boyfriend’s mom – then when you mentioned gift certificate that seemed like an even better idea. Unfortunately she’s not SUPER web saavy so if the sites difficult to use she’ll have a lot of trouble with it.
those reusable bags are cuute & so are the aprons!
