Trainer Solution

A few months back, I asked for your advice on making my indoor workouts more interesting. I have a trainer that allows me to ride my bike inside during the winter months, but it can get so boring. I’m dreaming of the day it is warm enough to bike outside again!

Then, I finally found my solution: reading while cycling. I put a towel over my handlebars (and therefore covering the bike computer that tells me my time and mileage), and put my book on top of the towel. Reading captures my attention a lot more than TV does, and it helps me towards my “read 101 books in 1001 days” goal!

Fitting in Fitness

I know, health and fitness should be one of my top priorities. I’m working on it. And I can’t wait for spring, when I can be outside gardening and cycling for large chunks of the day. But in the meantime, I’m doing the best I can.

I’m not a fitness trainer or expert, but I have a feeling that this may work for you too, on those days when you have little free time or just don’t feel like doing an all-out workout.

Workout Review: Rubberbanditz {Giveaway}

Now that the temperatures have dropped below freezing and snow is impending (I can’t believe we don’t have any snow yet, by the way!), my workouts have moved indoors. I don’t belong to a gym, so when Rubberbanditz offered to send me a “portable gym kit” to try out, I was more than happy to accept.

Workout Review: Yogalosophy

Part yoga, part strength training, this DVD is not what I expected. That’s not such a bad thing. The workout is still challenging and leaves me feeling strong.
