Secret Recipe Club: Chicken Tikka Masala

Secret Recipe Club

Another month, another round of the Secret Recipe Club!

This month, I was assigned Jen’s blog, The Misadventures of Mrs. B.

Remember when I posted about making tikka masala and serving it with Texmati rice? That wasn’t my recipe… that was Jen’s! I chose to make her Chicken Tikka Masala for the Secret Recipe Club , with a few changes:

1. Used turkey breast instead of chicken breast.

2. Replaced the spices in the marinade with 1 tablespoon of garam masala.

3. I only had 6 ounces of yogurt on hand, instead of a full cup.

4. Replaced the spices at the end with 1 tablespoon garam masala.

5. Used half-and-half instead of heavy cream.

I have been wanting to make my own non-curry Thai and Indian dishes for weeks now, so I was thrilled to find tikka masala on Jen’s site! It was definitely a good place to start, and I’d definitely make it again.

Thanks, Jen! To see other great recipes from this month’s Secret Recipe Club, follow the links below!

Now I have a huge bag of garam masala (all I could find at the grocery store), so I need to start cooking more Indian food at home too!
