On Sunday morning, we took a blogger field trip to the Starbucks around the corner for some oatmeal and coffee (or in my case, Awake Tea Latte). We enjoyed our breakfast with our feet dangling over the water in the harbor… we just couldn’t get enough of the gorgeous weather!
After checking out of the hotel, and saying some sad goodbyes, I headed out for some more time in the sunshine with a few other late-leaving blog friends. My lovely lunch dates were Stacey, Kacy, and Whit.
When we walked up to the restaurant, we were expecting your basic, everyday Italian restaurant. But it was so much better than that! They had a fantastic menu filled with healthy food, as well as a vegan menu. We immediately ordered the hummus platter to share. Because who doesn’t want some hummus with veggies and bread on a warm, sunshine-y day?
This black bean burger was softer than I am used to, but was absolutely delicious. I think I’ll have to try making something similar. More hummus was slathered on top of it, as well… you can’t go wrong with more hummus!
And, we couldn’t turn down the vegan chocolate cakes. I mean really, how often do you go to a restaurant with vegan desserts? We ordered a slice of the Chocolate Mint cake and a slice of the PB Chocolate cake to share. Both were good, but I greatly preferred the Mint. Such a refreshing, sweet end to a terrific meal!
We spent the rest of our time browsing the HUGE Barnes and Noble, and exploring the lighthouse we found.
I caught a cab with Stacey and Whit to the airport, and that was the end of Fitbloggin. It was a fabulous weekend that flew by far too quickly!
Tomorrow, I’m off on another fun adventure…visiting Dan in Ithaca! I’ll be there for 10 days for spring break. Yippee!
Don’t worry though, I’ll still be blogging! Any big plans for the weekend?

How fun!
Have fun in Ithaca! Let me know if you’re interested at all in a meet up
I’d love to meet up during the day sometime, if you’re free! I am within walking distance of campus (kinda), so we could meet for lunch somewhere?
