Four years ago today, I went on a walk by the lake with a boy.

Two weeks later, this boy surprised me with an a cappella show in my dorm for Valentine’s Day.
Two and a half years later, this boy took me on a picnic and to the Olbrich Botanical Gardens. There, he gave me a ring.

And now, in four months and one day, I will be marrying said boy.
Happy four year anniversary, Dan!
Some of my other favorite moments from the past four years:

Dan visits me in Minnesota in July 2005.

Dan and his a cappella group sing “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” to me during their spring concert on my 20th birthday, May 2007.

Trip to Door County, October 2007

Trip to San Francisco, January 2009

Engagement pictures, August 2009
And, if you’re still reading my sappy post, look at what Dan sent me last night for our anniversary. (Please note that the nerdiness is completely fitting as we a) met in chemistry class and b) are both engineers.)
