Like promised, I’m back with another easy way to get organized in the new year. A few weeks ago, I finally tackled my tea drawer. The drawer was a mess of boxes and jars and bags, plus another shoebox-sized box of random samples and single tea bags. I could usually find what I wanted, but I often forgot what I had in stock. And whenever I wanted to offer someone tea, it was a 10 or 15 minute process to show them the entire selection.
No more. Now, everything is neatly organized and displayed for simple tea selection. All it took was a silverware organizer that we were no longer using.
At our New Year’s brunch, it was so much easier to give people the tea they wanted. Guests would name a type of tea: herbal, black, green, white or rooibos, and I could show them exactly what flavors and varieties they could choose from.
I do have a second tea drawer, for larger bags of loose tea and bagged teas that aren’t individually wrapped. Eventually, I’ll get rid of those bagged teas and have room to put all the loose tea in labeled jars. But I still think this is a good start, don’t you?

Ooo wish I had a spare drawer for tea! I have the same problem of taking 15 minutes to offer people tea. I just start pulling out random bags of tea from the back of the cupboard, often discovering teas I never knew I even had lol.
I am always so glad to see I’m not the only one with such a variety of tea on hand. Nothing better than an organized tea drawer!
