Happy Birthday, Savvy Eats!

One year ago today, Savvy Eats was born. To celebrate, Heather brought over blogiversary muffins yesterday. Her blogiversary is tomorrow!

Blogiversary1.jpg

Since my first post, Savvy Eats has grown and improved in so many ways. Most importantly, I have found my ‘blog voice’ and feel proud of my blog every single time I press ‘publish.’
To celebrate my blogiversary, I am giving away TWO batches of Savvy Scones. Though I have the initial scone recipe on my blog, I have since tweaked and perfected it, so you can’t get these anywhere else! The winners will get to choose between these flavors:
  • Coconut Chai (the classic!)
  • Lemon Poppyseed
  • Orange Currant
  • Butter Pecan
  • Pumpkin Spice

To enter, simply leave a comment telling me what you hope to see on Savvy Eats in the future. It can be a dish you’d like me to create, an improvement you think the blog needs, or something you like about Savvy Eats that you want me to keep blogging about! I will choose a winner on Thursday, September 9.

If you are new to Savvy Eats, here is a quick guide to what you can find here:

Good luck! πŸ™‚

Happy one year! Being from Glens Falls, New York now residing in Troy…I would love to see a page with local eateries in the Ithaca area. I have heard about how great the food is there and are very jealous of Wegman’s being so close. I have plans to visit soon and a knowing a few places to eat would be great!

Happy blog birthday! Can’t remember how I got to reading your blog but it must have been through a link.:) . I started reading Heather’s blog when she wrote about your wedding recap. Love what you have right now and like you said, you have found your blog voice. Keep doing what you do now because that is what makes you unique. Wishing the blog many more years.

Heather tortured me by making me ride the entire 3 hours back to her place with the scones in my van so I’d love to win some of my own.

I’m a big food knowledge geek (Alton Brown is my hero) and anything you can teach me I’ll soak up πŸ™‚

Wow, I had no idea you and Heather have only had your blogs for a year. They look so established. πŸ™‚ Congrats!

Coconut vanilla chai scones sound amazing. I love your informational posts since they are a nice change of pace from regular recipe posts that most of us (myself included) do. Keep it up with the Brain Food! Honestly though, I think you have a very well-rounded blog – no changes necessary!

I absolutely love your blog. I love the way that you blog and how you dont focus on your daily eats. I really appreciate that you focus on certain things for a period of time and then move on to a different spectrum of your life. Please continue what your doing, because it is very enjoyable to read and to follow!! πŸ™‚

  21. says

I love you. And I hope to see more of EVERYTHING you’ve been doing in the future.Seriously. You could post about cat fur and I’d read it. Well…that may be a stretch. But you’ve definitely found your niche, and you can see the love and care you pour into every single post. Keep that up! Can’t wait to see how you grow.

Haha you should give away blog makeovers. Like content makeovers. Visual makeovers, too, but you should offer services where you can analyze blogs and tell people what to focus on. I’ll be your guinea pig. πŸ˜‰

  22. says

Unless said scones are easily veganized, I will refrain from entering. But I want to wish you a VERY happy blogiversary!

The Little Things are my favorite posts. We’ve already discussed this though. πŸ™‚

I also like seeing how your new place is coming because I’ve seen every place you’ve lived in for the past five years except this one. πŸ™ So its cool to see all the neat stuff you’re doing.

I’ve so proud of you Jules for doing this blog. I remember when you were first working on it and how much it has changed since the beginning. I know how much, not only the blog, but the community and the people that you meet through this mean to you. I’m so happy to have been on that journey with you and can’t wait to see how it continues to evolve.

    Congrats on one year babe!!

I am not an expert cook, and I tend to get impatient, so I’d love to see a series on healthy recipes that are also very simple and quick! Maybe something like less than 10 ingredients and less than 20 minutes. πŸ™‚

  26. says
