Happy Birthday, Savvy Eats!

One year ago today, Savvy Eats was born. To celebrate, Heather brought over blogiversary muffins yesterday. Her blogiversary is tomorrow!


Since my first post, Savvy Eats has grown and improved in so many ways. Most importantly, I have found my ‘blog voice’ and feel proud of my blog every single time I press ‘publish.’
To celebrate my blogiversary, I am giving away TWO batches of Savvy Scones. Though I have the initial scone recipe on my blog, I have since tweaked and perfected it, so you can’t get these anywhere else! The winners will get to choose between these flavors:
  • Coconut Chai (the classic!)
  • Lemon Poppyseed
  • Orange Currant
  • Butter Pecan
  • Pumpkin Spice

To enter, simply leave a comment telling me what you hope to see on Savvy Eats in the future. It can be a dish you’d like me to create, an improvement you think the blog needs, or something you like about Savvy Eats that you want me to keep blogging about! I will choose a winner on Thursday, September 9.

    Happy one year! Being from Glens Falls, New York now residing in Troy…I would love to see a page with local eateries in the Ithaca area. I have heard about how great the food is there and are very jealous of Wegman’s being so close. I have plans to visit soon and a knowing a few places to eat would be great!

    Coconut vanilla chai scones sound amazing. I love your informational posts since they are a nice change of pace from regular recipe posts that most of us (myself included) do. Keep it up with the Brain Food! Honestly though, I think you have a very well-rounded blog – no changes necessary!

    I am not an expert cook, and I tend to get impatient, so I’d love to see a series on healthy recipes that are also very simple and quick! Maybe something like less than 10 ingredients and less than 20 minutes. πŸ™‚

    Happy birthday! I know you used to discuss it a few times, but you were really stuggling to get motivated in school and biking etc… I am still in school and would be interetested in hearing if you think it was much easier to get motivated and bike more minus school and your injury etc- i personally cant and dont relly like to run so i really relate to your blog in that way. in short im basically saying ilove the mix up of categories on your blog πŸ™‚ keeep up the awesome ness! πŸ™‚

        So far, I helped my neighbors can some tomatoes and I made my first 2 batches of jam – ever! We picked almost 10 lbs of blueberries 2 weekends ago, so I made 2 different batches. So much fun. I can’t wait to do more!
