Today was the perfect fall day. The sun was out, and the temperature was in the mid-60s. I just had to take full advantage of the day before winter starts to near.
So after my 14.7 mile bike ride this afternoon, I settled in on our porch with a cup of tea, some back issues of my favorite magazines, and next season’s seed catalog.

A dorky way to spend the day? Maybe.

But one that I loved.

How did you spend your afternoon?

That sounds like an excellent way to spend the afternoon.
Oooh! Seed catalog! It’s so fun to start planning now.
I spent my afternoon sewing.
I know, it is so much fun to read about all the different varieties of each vegetable and dream about next summer’s garden!
So Julie! Where do I go about getting a seed catalog if I am thinking about starting a small garden next year?
Laura! Hi!!! How’s grad school?
You can get seed catalogs for free from Seed Savers Exchange (http://www.seedsavers.org/) and Johnny Seeds (http://www.johnnyseeds.com/). I haven’t gotten my Johnny Seeds catalog yet, but the Seed Savers one is very good at labeling which varieties are good for small gardens or growing in containers!
