Last Call for BSI!

First things first, a few announcements:

1.  Don’t forget to enter your maple recipe for this week’s Blogger Secret Ingredient by tonight at midnight!

2.  Head over to Chocolate-Covered Katie’s giveaway!

Today’s eats:

Before they headed out of town, my parents took Dan and I out to brunch at Lazy Jane’s cafe.  This place is super cute!

IMG_3768 Orange Coconut White Chocolate Scone. I ate a little less than half, Dan had the rest.

IMG_3770 Granola, berries, bananas and yogurt. I wasn’t very hungry, but I ate all of the fruit, and about half of the rest.

IMG_3775 Leftover peanut quinoa stir fry with added carrots.

IMG_3776 Apple with Almond Butter.

I’m having one of those days where I know I’m hungry for dinner, but nothing sounds good.  Don’t you hate that?!?

Also, I have some big projects in the works for the blog… check back in upcoming weeks to learn more!  Once I figure out how I’m actually going to execute everything, it will be on the blog.  :)

Again, don’t forget to enter your Blogger Secret Ingredient recipe by midnight!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog. So, you’re moving to Ithaca huh? Ok you have to go hiking at the falls, wandering around the Commons, go on a wine tour (make sure you have a DD!), and hit up the Farmer’s Market. As far as eats, hit up Collegetown Bagels, Purity Ice Cream, Benchwarmers (it’s a sports bar but I really like the food), and WEGMAN’S (a grocery store with a prepared foods section, Whole Foods-style). Good Thai places too. Make sure you go to Apple Fest in the Fall. I wasn’t as into the healthy living stuff I am now, but I know there’s a co-op there where I’m sure you can find fun healthy foods. OH and you have to go to the Moosewood restaurant at least once…famous for thier vegetarian foods and cookbooks.

Oh man…I’m so jealous! I really wish I could go back in time and take advantage of all the things I wasn’t into back then. Since you can handle the cold, I think you’ll really enjoy it…it’s a great town.

Wow, thanks for all the tips! I’m excited to check out Wegman’s and the co-op when we go apartment hunting in Ithaca this week, and I know we’re going to check out a restaurant or two as well. :)
