Little Things Guest Post: Then Heather Said!

I’m feeling under-the-weather today (this seems to be happening a lot lately, which is why I’m seeing the doctor on Monday), so Heather graciously agreed to do a “Little Things” guest post for me today.

Take it away, Heather!

The Little Things Making Me (Heather) Happy Are…

Little things that make the day brighter: heart shaped eggs and swirly pancakes ;0)

Lately work has been SUPER busy, and sitting in front of the computer intensive. Colleen of The Lunch Box Diaries shared a great mini “get-moving” circuit that she and her co-worker do several times throughout the day to keep their blood flowing. I made my own list on a post-it to keep near my computer, and set an alarm on my phone to go off every 90 minutes to remind me to get up and get moving! I love the fact that I am able to fit some movement into my day job!

I recently learned, much to my dismay, that the planner I found [and fell in love with] last summer, is actually a student planner and ends in June of 2011. I’ve been keeping a list of summer/fall events in the back of the agenda, trying not to double book any weekends. My friend Cynthia recently took me to a super cute store in Williamsburg, MA called “Where’d You Get That?” – where I found the PERFECT new 2011 calendar! I’ve been enjoying flipping through the pages, transferring my to-do’s, appointments, and plans over. Copying things into the new calendar has been a great re-organization tool that keeps me feeling not only on top of things, but refreshed in excitement for upcoming plans!

Little thing that ALWAYS makes me happy, no matter how sad/angry/frustrated/complacent I am feeling; Andy Sandberg in a bird costume. I keep this photo at my desk, and it never fails to make me giggle when I see it.

Great guest post, Heather! I love the pancakes– do you have cookie cutters you use to shape them, or do you “free hand”? :)

Julie– hope you’re feeling better soon!
