The last week in January is always Madison Restaurant Week. A slew of restaurants offer 3 or 4 course dinners for $25, and a handful have 3 course lunches for $15. The fact that my and Dan’s anniversary is always during Restaurant Week gives us the chance to experience a new restaurant that would otherwise be out of our price range any other week.
Since Dan is already living in Ithaca, we clearly don’t get to enjoy Restaurant Week together this year.
BUT, I did get to celebrate it with some lovely new friends, because last night was….
MADISON BLOGGIE MEET-UP!

Me, Allison, Kristie, Shelley, Holly
We met up last night for a late dinner at Harvest. I have been wanting to go here for ages, but haven’t actually made it out until last night! The restaurant focuses on local, seasonal, organic ingredients.

Bread and butter. I was so busy chatting, I forgot to take a picture until it was half gone!

Curried Pumpkin Soup.
Mushroom & Lentil Shepherd’s Pie. It is not exactly photogenic, but man, was it tasty! I’m working on making a ‘copy-cat’ recipe so I can have this again!

Apple Crisp with Vanilla Custard. You can’t go wrong with an apple crisp!
I had so much fun getting to know these ladies over some amazing food! We already have a list of more places we want to go together, so I’m sure they will show up on Savvy Eats again.
Um…Allison and I didn’t get the memo on the “make-a-funny-face” message. I kind of think it makes the picture better.
