While I’m on my honeymoon in Italy, I have lined up some great guest posts for you.  For the next week and a half, I will be posting 1 or 2 “Savvy Spotlights” a day, highlighting some of my readers and blog friends.  You may see another fun post or two mixed in there as well. :)

I’ll start recapping our Italy trip when I return.  Have a great week!

Q. Introduce yourself!

Hi, I am Kelly and I am trying to overcome my pickiness at browniesandzucchini.com

Q. Savvy Eats approaches the concept of healthy living from the standpoint of “Smart Food, Smart Fitness, & Smart Life.”  What does ‘savvy living’ mean to you?

To me, savvy living means balancing the things that are important, and not worrying about the things that aren’t.  I’m not saying that I have this way of living mastered, but I’m working on it.  :)

Smart Food Q. What is your ‘go-to’ meal?

I’m not going to lie and try to tell you that my go-to meal is some kind of fancy quinoa or almond butter related thing.  It is most definitely a bagel with cream cheese.  Just a plan old bagel, with plain old cream cheese.  Ok, correction, if it is not a fresh bagel, it must be a Bagels Forever egg bagel and Philadelphia cream cheese.  Did I already mention I was picky?  Um, yeah.

Smart Fitness Q. There are a lot of ways to stay fit: running, cycling, yoga, Zumba, strength training, and more.  Which is your favorite, and what tip would you give a beginner?

My favorite ways to stay fit are Pilates and Yoga.  I would still consider myself a beginner, however if someone was just starting out I would tell them not to be afraid to try it if they think they are the wrong bodytype.  Yoga especially has so many benefits other than just the physical aspects.  It really aids in connecting your mind and body – something anyone can benefit from.

Smart Life Q. Julie and Dan are currently on their dream vacation: cycling through Italy!  What is your dream vacation?

My husband and I would really like to go to Australia.  There is something very appealing about all of the different animals to see there, the Great Barrier Reef, Sydney Opera House, etc.  That is definitely our dream vacation.

Q. Anything else you’d like to add?

I would just like to say that I have met Savvy Julie in real life and she is just as great in person as she appears on the blog!  She is very nice, fun and everything else that she portrays on this blog.  She is really fantastic, and I wish I had her cooking and gardening skills! :)
