While I’m on my honeymoon in Italy, I have lined up some great guest posts for you. For the next week and a half, I will be posting 1 or 2 “Savvy Spotlights” a day, highlighting some of my readers and blog friends. You may see another fun post or two mixed in there as well.
I’ll start recapping our Italy trip when I return. Have a great week!
Hey savvy readers! My name is Anne and I write the food and fitness blog fANNEtastic food.
I started my blog last year as a way to inspire others to lead happier, healthier lives through exercise and nutrition, and to share my journey as I changed careers and headed back to school for my Masters of Public Health in Nutrition to become a Registered Dietitian! On my blog, I share fitness tips, training plans, and a lot of healthy (but delicious!) recipes, especially quick and easy dinners and packable lunches for work or school. I wnat to prove that being healthy really doesn’t have to be complicated, time consuming, or expensive!
To me, savvy living means knowing what makes you feel your best and sticking to it. My number one tip for sanity? Take time every day to enjoy nature. Even just a short walk outside does wonders for my stress levels and leaves me feeling calm, centered, and ready to take on the world
I have a lot of go-to meals, especially when I get super busy. One of my most popular series on my blog has been my “5-minute packable lunches,” which are exactly what they sound like – super quick and easy (but delish!) lunches for an on-the-go lifestyle! You can find all of them on my recipes page.
My favorite way to stay fit is with a combination of running and yoga! I love them because they are completely different. I look to yoga to relax and stretch my body, to calm my mind, to give myself a chance to feel centered. But I love how energized and accomplished running makes me feel, especially when I reach a new goal like a faster pace or longer distance.
For a long time I hated yoga because I couldn’t calm myself enough to appreciate the completely different form of exercise it provides. I thought it was a waste of time because I wasn’t getting a massive cardio workout like with running. Boy, was I wrong To read more about my yoga journey, check out my post on How I Went From Hating Yoga… To Loving It.
My dream vacation? Anything involving adventure sports, awesome food, and beautiful scenery
I hope Mr. and Mrs. Savvy Julie are having a blast biking through Italy right now – and in the meantime, I hope you guys will come check out my blog, fANNEtastic food, for more recipes, fitness tips, and fun!
