Much of my weekend was spent in some variation of this:

Sometimes the laptop was replaced with a book. Sometimes I napped. Sometimes I watched movies with Dan. Above it all, I rested. And tried to get over my nasty cold. And got close to succeeding. I’d say I’m 90% better.

We discovered that Max is obsessed with going outside. No matter how cold he gets. Dan took him for 30 minute walks 2 or 3 times a day, and Max still wanted to go back outside. He’s a fast walker, too; we’ll definitely be getting some long walking workouts in!

When he isn’t outside, his favorite place to sit is either on the couch with us or at one of our windows. Good thing our windows are so low to the ground–he loves sitting on the window ledges!

Even though I was sick, I managed to make a few new recipes: Salted Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate and Apple Cinnamon Spice Granola Bars. Both recipes are coming soon, and I think you’ll really enjoy them! If they’re easy enough for me to make when I’m sick, anyone can make them!
How did you spend your weekend?

Max is so so cute!!!
Aw!!! Max looks like he’s fitting in right at home juuuust fine! Can’t say it enough, I’m SO happy for you guys!!! I can’t wait until the weather gets warmer so those long walks with Happy (in the cold) can be more enjoyable… I bet you guys can agree, being up in NY and all!
Aw, I think snuggling with a furry friend on the couch all weekend sounds perfect!
Glad you are getting over your cold

Max looks like such a sweetheart! It’s always great to have a cuddly pet when you’re sick.
Sorry you’re sick but I’m glad Max is making the weekend sweeter. Peanut and Leo hang out in the windows and love to play in the snow too. You’ll have a blast walking around town with him.
Cute pup!
My weekend: dinner with friends (twice!), margaritas…attempt to jog…then inspection of yard for signs of spring…it’s never too early to check.
Our weekends were actually very similar although I wasn’t sick. I did get some workouts in though along with some cleaning so that was good!
Max is so cute!!! I hope you feel better, lady!

So glad you are feeling better. Now that I see pics of max sitting on the window sill, I realize he is smaller than Annie. He’s adorable!
Max is so cute! What a doll. We had a low-key weekend which was really nice. I’ve been fighting a tiny bug, too, and didn’t want to get worse since we are heading to Austin for a wedding this weekend. I hope you are feeling 100% asap!

I hope you are feeling better, Julie! Apple cinnamon spice granola bars sound (and look) delicious. You’re a wonder in the kitchen even when under the weather.
I actually didn’t bake at all this weekend – instead I roasted/cooked 8+ lbs of vegetables! Yum.
aww, i love max’s little coat!
he’s so tiny!
Happy you are feeling better. My dog, Hadley, is the same way with the snow. We haven’t had as much since moving from Ithaca, so whenever we get some here you see a memory light bulb go off in his head.
Also, I was reading over some of your older posts since I am new to your blog and saw that there is something called Blogger Secret Ingredient. Is that still going on? It sounds like a lot of fun.
Not sure about Blogger Secret Ingredient. It may very well be going on still, I just haven’t heard about it/stopped following it… try googling?
I did and couldn’t find anything – I guess it’s not going on anymore.
Much of my weekend was spent the same way, but sans cold and cute pup! Glad you’re feeling better!
