I forgot to check on my muffin storage experiment until it was too late and everything was stale. Brain Food fail! Guess I’ll have to re-do that one next week or so. This also means I’ll need to make more mini muffins. Bummer, right?

We found the PERFECT table and bench for our dining room at Found in Ithaca this weekend. I love the farmhouse decorating style, so these pieces fit in perfectly for us. (Let’s pretend there aren’t boxes to be unpacked and gardening stuff on top of the table. Though it did used to be a potting table, so the garden supplies are appropriate…)

The seeds I planted are starting to poke their heads out of the soil. We’re going to start putting them under our grow light 12-16 hours a day so the seedlings stay warm and get plenty of light to help them grow.

In between rainstorms, I managed to plant all our kale, over 100 carrots, about 60 spinach plants and 60 pea plants in the front yard. And I didn’t need to water, because it started to rain again as I finished.
I’m currently sitting in the Syracuse airport, taking advantage of their free WiFi. I’m off to spend a few days in Minnesota with my family before heading off to Camp Blogaway!

Ahh, lovely vegetable starts. I hope mine don’t get washed away in the unseasonably rainy spring we’re having here in Portland, OR.

Eek, I hope so too!
I love it when it rains right after planting. Perfect timing…and one less chore for the day.
Exactly!
my goal to plant my herbs before the end of april is REALLY REALLY looking like a long shot as it’s now the 25th….
expect a paniced text/email sometime this week with some sort of random question
