Scenes from the Weekend: 5.9.11.

It was a gorgeous weekend. So beautiful, in fact, that we decided to bring Max to the Farmer’s Market with us in the bike trailer. The plan was to get lunch and relax on the dock before picking up our meat and produce for the week.

Um, yeah… We won’t be bringing him back again until he is better trained and doesn’t think that we have to be constantly moving when he is on his leash. Lesson learned!

Because we finally had the prospect of two warm, sunny days in a row, we decided to tackle the deck. It was unfortunately never sealed, so we were facing mildew

and lots of discoloration. Tutorial to come on how we fixed it up!

We also bought our first set of power tools.

Why? Because when Dan went to investigate why our hose connection on the deck had no water pressure, he found this:

Not good. We have no idea how long that pipe has been leaking like that, but it definitely happened before we moved in. So Dan had to pull up the water-damaged cabinet bottom, as well.

Luckily, a few hours later we had water running in our kitchen sink again, and all the rotted wood was pulled up. Now we just need to put in a replacement!

In addition to all this, I planted seeds for all the zucchini, melons, and flowers for our garden. So once again, we had a home project-filled weekend. I think we need a break next weekend, don’t you?

How did you spend your weekend?

Aww the dog trailer is so cute! I spent lots of time at farmer’s markets this weekend, too. It was gorgeous out in DC both days!

Here, too. It felt soooo nice to finally spend some time outside without a coat!

I’m so jealous you have a garden. This weekend in class I got a facial! Super fun to be in school where you practice facials!
