Something New #1: I got over my kombucha fear!
I went from this:
to this:
The blueberry flavor was very faint, and I liked that this brand wasn’t super vinegar-y. However, though it tasted delicious, I don’t think I’ll be buying it often because of the $$$ !
Question: Does anyone know how long kombucha lasts in the refrigerator once it has been opened?

Something New #2: Mini Workouts Day!
With finals coming up starting Sunday, I need to study, study, study! So rather than setting aside a big chunk of time to workout, I did a mini workout whenever I needed a break from studying.
- 20 minutes Power Yoga
- The 100 Series from Pilates
- My first push-ups workout! (Split into 2 breaks)
Something New #3: Today’s Push-Ups Challenge Tip!
I love Jessica’s suggestion in the comments section for building up to a full “real” push-up:
Start in a full push-up position. Lower yourself with control all the way to the ground. When you hit the floor (softly), release and come back up however you want. Basically you just work on the lowering down part of the exercise. These teaches people confidence and increases your range of motion. The key here is to lower down super slow so that your body and muscles are doing the work, not gravity. Practice this at least 3x a week, doing as many of this version as possible. Once a week try just regular push-ups.
Great idea…thanks, Jessica!

Something New #4: The feeling of never going to an undergraduate college class AGAIN. I’ve been in school for almost 2 decades, so I think it still hasn’t sunk in! Maybe it will after finals? Or at the very least, after the wedding and move? Either way, it is exciting!
Something New #5: The thought of never going to another UW-Madison SWE (Society of Women Engineers) event as a student member… it has been such a HUGE part of my life for the past 5 years!

i don’t know how kombucha lasts in the fridge. i usually drink mine in a day because that is how much i love it!
I bought one of those big bottles too and it’s been about 10 days and counting for mine… it still tastes good + I haven’t gotten sick so I’m hoping it’s okay. Hah.
Woohoo for no more undergrad classes!!!!! Does kombucha usually taste like vinegar? I’m not sure if I want to hop on that bandwagon hahaaa.
I graduated over a year ago and it still hasn’t hit me yet that I’m a quote unquote adult. It sure is nice not to have homework though…
…oh and in answer to your question on my blog, I live in St. Paul. I work in Bloomington. Basically I’m all over the metro area. Which is fine by me.
yayyyyy i am so glad you liked the kombucha! i think i would buy it more often too if it wasn’t so dang expensive! yay for being done with classes and for all the wonderful, exciting things happening to you in the month ahead!

YAY for Kombucha!
So exciting about no more undergrad classes….I know it’s definitely a scary thought though! Congrats!
That’s great advice on the push-ups! I always find “real” push-ups to be a challenge, so maybe this will help me build more upper body strength.
