I had a blast at Fitbloggin. Rather than recap all the sessions here, why don’t you head on over to the Fitbloggin site to read the live blogs of the entire conference. Basically, they are play-by-plays of each session. You don’t need me for that.

However, I can share with you what I personally brought away from Fitbloggin.
1. Stretching is vital, part 1. You learn more and meet more people if you make an effort to ‘mix it up’ by sitting with different groups during meals and sessions. I first picked this tip up from Heather’s guest post on Poise in Parma, and it really worked. I got to talk to such a wide range of people because I wasn’t afraid to stretch beyond my comfort zone and sit with someone new.
2. Stretching is vital, part 2. An hour long Zumba class followed by a thirty minute Cathe Frederich workout one day, followed by a “length training” class with Andrea Metcalf the next morning makes for some sore muscles, especially if you are sitting in on sessions and panels all day. Stretch after your workouts. Just do it.
3. Know what you’re all about. Whether or not you realize it, you are a brand. You need to be aware of who you are and what you stand for, and you need to figure out how to portray that to others. If you’re a blogger, your about page should always be up-to-date so your readers know exactly who you are.
4. Don’t be afraid to stand out. Bloggers (and people) who differentiate themselves from the crowd tend to be the most interesting. And often the most successful, as well.
5. You have to take the bad with the good. Whatever mistakes you make, whatever negative things come your way, the most important thing is how you deal with it.
Which one of these speaks to you the most?
