Remember a few weeks ago, when I told you about Katie’s shop, Gadanke? She’s the one who made the Little Things journal that I gave away in the first week of 50 Days of the Little Things. When she offered to do the giveaway, she also generously offered to send me one of her “Taste” journals.

I adore this little journal. It is filled with blank recipe cards, writing prompts, spaces for photos and cute little envelopes.

The scrapbooker and crafter in me loves the possibility of the Taste journal. There are plenty of writing prompts, but also plenty of space to be creative and do your own thing. Plus, the journals are held together with binder rings, so you can easily add new pages of your own.

There are lots of pages with quotes and little thoughts, which you can leave as is or add your own notes:

I also love the fact that the journals are eco-friendly. Most of the papers used are recycled, so each individual journal is completely unique. Mine has lots of white and off-white pages, some bright blue pages, a decorative flower page and some yellow vellum pages.

I imagine that it would be fun to fill one of these out every few years to track how your traditions, favorite ingredients and go-to meals change over time. It would also make a great gift! Give one to a friend to fill out for themselves, or fill one out for your children to enjoy when they are older.

Want a Taste journal of your own {or any of Katie’s beautiful journals}? Good news, because Katie is offering a discount to all my Savvy Readers. Between now and November 22 {Tuesday}, enter “TASTY10″ at checkout for 10% off.

Such a stinkin cute idea! I love it- especially the balance between prompts and creative options!
