Have I ever told you about my and Dan’s first unofficial date?
In January 2006, during our freshman year, I went over to Dan’s dorm to see his photos from his recent trip to the Grand Canyon and to listen to some music. He was in a newly formed a cappella group on campus, but I had never heard a cappella music before. We started officially dating 2 days later. Needless to say, that first “date” went well.
Music, and a cappella in particular, holds a special place in my and Dan’s relationship. Between attending his concerts, being pulled on-stage during a show that happened to be on my 20th birthday, surprise Valentine’s Day concerts and going to Rockapella shows together, many of our favorite memories involve music in some way.
It means so much to us, in fact, that Dan arranged our song, “That’s All” by Michael Buble for his a cappella quartet to sing during our wedding ceremony!
So imagine my excitement when I visited Caitlin’s blog this morning and saw the newest Peter Hollens video, Operation Beautiful-themed!
In the past 15 minutes, I’ve watched this video 3 times. It has totally brightened up my sick-day morning. I love it!
