So often, we get caught up in our day to day routines and forget to appreciate the little things in life. In my Little Things series, I like to honor the details that are making me happy today, and ask you to do the same!
The Little Things Making Me Happy Today Are…
1. The cedar chest we bought in an antique shop last weekend makes our bedroom smell great every time we open it.
2. My aunt, uncle and cousins are coming to visit on Sunday, and my mom is coming to visit next weekend.
My mom and I at my wedding in May.
3. Emails from my blog friends helped cheer me up this week when I was trying to get over a 2-day migraine.
4. So many bloggers are taking part in 25 Days of the Little Things–are you?
5. Tomorrow, I am making my first attempt at baking macarons for Macaroon Monday. I’m nervous, but excited for the challenge! Anyone have a favorite recipe I should try?
6. My tea stash was running low, so I stocked up both at Whistling Kettle and Mighty Leaf. So many great teas to drink, perfect for this rainy/snowy weather!
What little things are making you happy today?

You know I love this series – and am keeping my list of little things in my notebook that I carry everywhere. Today, the little things making me happy are: that after a busy week my husband and I are hanging out together at home tonight, I’m throwing a dinner party for some family tomorrow at our new apt, and today’s Friday so I get to order lunch (it’s a deal I have with myself)!
That’s awesome!
Love your little things! And def love you wedding pics.
I am such a bad blog friend. I didn’t even know you had a migraine!
I hope you’re feeling a lot better now, love!
I’m loving seeing you do all these as a reminder to me. I am having fun with the Thanksgiving challenge and will buy the key ingredient tomorrow
I made my recipe for macaroon Monday yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was (pizza dough). Thanks to all y’all for the push
Off to blog about it now
