The Little Things #31

So often, we get caught up in our day to day routines and forget to appreciate the little things in life.  In my Little Things series, I like to honor the details that are making me happy today, and ask you to do the same!

The Little Things making me happy today are…

1. We can see GREEN GRASS in the park across the street. Lots of it! Spring is on its way! It is almost cycling season!

2. My mom sent me some “get-well-soon” books earlier this week. I’m really getting into the new Jodi Picoult book. Thanks, Mom!

3. I had a lot of fun with my high school friend, Maggie, who spent a day and a half of her spring break here.

4. We got our mortgage approval papers in the mail. We’re well on our way to closing + moving!

5. I’m more than a little obsessed with the Glass Dharma straws. They’re so much fun!

6. Malted milk powder. It is so much fun to experiment with!

7. Spreading the love. I sent 2 full containers of cookies to work with Dan today, and another bag with Maggie as a car snack.

8. I tried the Sweet Cranberry Pecan granola from Love Grown Foods for the first time today, and really enjoyed it. This coming from the girl who doesn’t like dried cranberries! (Have you entered my giveaway yet?)

I have a little obsession with Jodi Picoult’s books. I haven’t started this one yet because I like to savor them or else I’ll be bummed when I’m done and have to wait another year for her next one.

  2. Maggie says

Thanks again for having me Jules! Those cookies were delicious, finished them today :). Chompy the ferret kept trying to eat them on the ride home.

little things making me happy today:

    my ipod full of podcasts
feeling like death only means that feeling like life is coming soon, right?
the 3 1/2 hour phone conversation I had with my friend Megan last night – and she referred to you as “Savvy Julie” more than once during our convo 😉
