So often, we get caught up in our day to day routines and forget to appreciate the little things in life.  In my Little Things series, I like to honor the details that are making me happy today. Now, I ask my readers to send me a photo and note about what is making THEM happy today.

Briana says,

“I’m a grad student so when I’m not in class, I’m usually bogged down in front of my computer typing papers or doing research. I have a little yoga space in my apartment that I keep set up to remind me to take breaks and just breathe. This morning I woke up feeling stressed over all the assignments I needed to get done today. Just as I was settling into my desk, I looked over and the sun shining in over my yoga mat was so inviting. I couldn’t resist the urge to get on my mat and do a few sun salutations. This changed my outlook on the day and made me feel fresh, open and happy.”

You, too, can be a part of “The Little Things: Reader Submissions” page! Send me a photo of one of the “little things” making you happy today, along with a short note. You do NOT have to be a blogger to take part, but if you have a blog, I will link back to you. Send your submissions to savvyjulie@gmail.com, with “The Little Things” as the subject line!

If you’ve submitted your own “Little Things” post, or simply support the series, consider adding this badge to your blog!

this past weekend, Cynthia took some time to teach me poses I didn’t know, correct my form on poses I thought I knew, and suggest flow from poses i did know to poses i now know.

im obsessed with yoga now, and have found myself able to work up quite a sweat while doing it. LOVE.
