Today on Pinterest: Pallet Edition

We currently have seven shipping pallets in our garage. Do you know how much space 7 shipping pallets take up? A lot.

We originally picked them up (for free) via a Craigslist listing, with full intentions of using them to build some deck furniture. And then we decided against that idea.

So now we have seven shipping pallets in our garage. We do have some projects planned for them, though. Some involve using the pallets themselves. Others involve pulling the pallets apart and using the already-weathered wood for building projects.

Naturally, this all means that I have a full Pinterest board devoted to pallet projects.

Pallets –> compost bin from Young House Love. This is on our to-do list!

Pallet bench from re-nest. This is the bench we were going to build for our deck.

What have you pinned lately?

Julie, I have been pinning the heck out of pallets, too! They are so cool looking when re-purposed & used in the home. I just made a pallet daybed (it was very easy) & need to take some pics!

I love the pallet projects on Pinterest! I’ve always wondered where people get them–now I know. Thanks, Julie! Just another thing to add to my “when we have a house…” list. I’d love to see what you end up making.

    Hi,
The original image and design for the Mason Jar Chandelier can be found here:

The hanger I used to make this is not a pallet, but that might possibly work. Certainly would need a very strong chain and eye hook to hang it from, if using a pallet.

Thanks for the heads up. I updated the link to also direct to your etsy shop!

We plan on pulling up a lot of the pallet boards if we go ahead with this to make it lighter.
