You all know I love my tea…why else would I write a week’s worth of posts about it?

Because I love tea, I worked with Cha Cha Tea to set up a bundle for my shop including a cute little teapot + 2 of my favorite teas.

Because I love you, I worked with Open Sky to get you a coupon for the bundle!

So, if you buy the Summer Tea Bundle between today and next Tuesday, you can get 10% off the package…that is almost down to the wholesale price! Simply enter SavvyTea to get your discount at checkout.

My IT band and knee have started to ache again, and I think I’ve finally pinpointed why: those pesky Ithaca hills! I pretty much jumped from riding on the trainer + a few flat outdoor rides in May directly to taking long bike rides that include big hills, and my IT band was not a fan of the big change…it was TOO MUCH, TOO FAST.

So this week, I plan to ride 2-6 miles on flat terrain every day that I am not doing a longer ride with Dan to build up my endurance, and really think/hope it will help. Wish me luck!

Smart Life

Last week, I made a list of my weekly goals. Unfortunately, I didn’t make nearly as much progress as I would have liked. So, let’s try this again, shall we?

This week, I WILL (for real this time!)

1.  Plant ‘cool season’ crops (kale, Swiss chard, etc)

2. Bike 70 miles total (36 down already!)

3. Finish our wedding thank you notes!

4. Go blueberry picking and make preserves.

5. Write 2 freelance articles

6. Weed garden. Finished this morning!

7. Strength train 3x. (1 done!)

I am really, really determined to get all of these things done. As motivation, I think the end of each post this week will update you on my progress. Hold me accountable, okay? :)

How do you keep yourself from doing ‘too much, too fast’?

Your list looks challenging, but manageable. Great way to accomplish things by setting attainable goals.

I try to tell myself that if I spread things too thing something will suffer. Multitasking means multiple ways to fudge things up.

Great weekly goals!
Strength training is one of my mine too! I did it this morning. Two more to go! I want to see your garden! I bet it’s amazing!

Ever since my half marathon in June I’ve been experiencing knee pain and it has been hard for me to step back and take it easy. Next week I have an appointment to see what’s going on. I have a feeling he’ll tell me to really slow down!

I’ve also been upping my strength training. I can already tell a small difference in my body, I love it!

I think it’s great that you are listening to your body and reacting accordingly.
unfortunately, I don’t keep myself from doing too much too fast. I tend to burn out often :(

My body will tell me when it’s too much too fast for sure! When I start to feel tired all the time or things start hurting, I know when it is time for a rest! Listening to these signs are key to avoid a real injury. ;)

Are you going to cover the planting on the blog? We might be moving into our house by the end of the week, and I want to start planting ASAP!!

Let me know when you are in my neck of the woods!!

I can definitely cover the planting in a Savvy Garden post. Sooo exciting that you’re moving into your house soon!

And I will definitely let you know when we plan on visiting Dan’s brother in WA. :)

I totally understand the “too fast, too soon” as that happened to me when I was transitioning to barefoot running. I’m better at listening to my body now though! Your to do list sounds attainable…unlike mine that is out of control. I need to take a lesson ;)

Haha, my to-do list is pretty out of control too. These are just the ‘absolute must-dos’ for this week… the full list is MEGA long. ;)
