A Few of Our Favorite Things… Giveaway!

I’m so excited about today’s post, because I’m giving one of YOU a few of my favorite things. Now that December is here, I’m feeling all sorts of festive. I can’t quite decorate and bake to my heart’s content, thanks to this week’s (!!) move, but I can at least get into the gift-giving spirit!

These Are Our Favorite Things - Blog Hop Giveaway

I’ve teamed up with eight other blogger friends for this post to bring you NINE giveaways. We’ve each chosen some of our favorite things – books, cooking tools, dishes and ingredients – so be sure to click through to each site to enter their giveaways!

Here’s where to find all nine giveaways:

  1. Savvy Eats – you’re here now. More on what I’m giving away below!
  2. Poet in the Pantry. Um, I’m dying over those Jeni’s flavors.
  3. The Little Ferraro Kitchen. Because who doesn’t want to throw a tapas party?
  4. Life As A Strawberry. That immersion blender almost made my list of favorite things, too.
  5. White Lights on Wednesday. So much cookbook goodness.
  6. The Marvelous Misadventures of a Foodie. All your pizza-making needs are covered.
  7. Food Babbles. Those glasses are adorable, right?
  8. Stetted. She’s got a whole selection of cooking tools for you.
  9. The Girl in the Little Red Kitchen. This is perfect for hot chocolate season.

Curious about what exactly I’m giving away?

Favorite Things Giveaway // Savvy Eats

Popcorn Popper

It’s no secret that I love popcorn. I’ve used this West Bend Stir Crazy Electric Popcorn Popper at least three times a week since college, and it is still going strong. I love how quickly it can make a giant bowl of popcorn, and that it requires less oil than the standard stovetop poppers (so I can totally justify eating popcorn three times a week). If you win, I recommend making some popcorn seasonings and throwing a party with a big build-your-own popcorn bar. It is such a fun variation from the standard cocktail party!

Cast Iron Skillet

My cast iron skillet essentially has a permanent spot on my stovetop. We rarely put it away, because as soon as we do, I’m pulling it back out again. Cast iron cookware is incredibly versatile, and it is just at home in the oven as it is on the stovetop. My skillet is from the antique mall (seriously, this stuff lasts for FOREVER), but this 10-inch skillet from Lodge is the closest match I’ve found.

Tacos by Mark Miller

I reviewed Tacos last spring, and it is still one of my favorites. I basically don’t make tacos anymore without consulting this book first. I’ve cooked probably 1/3 of the recipes so far, and I haven’t been let down by a single one.

Letterbox Chai Tea

Letterbox Fine Tea’s Ritual Black Chai is seriously my favorite looseleaf chai tea. My friend Kelly introduced me to this tea, which is made by a Milwaukee-based coffee company. For the longest time (or at least what felt like the longest time), you could only get it in select stores in the midwest, so I’d stock up whenever we went back to visit, or had Kelly send me tins from time to time. It is finally available at Sur La Table and on Amazon, so I can indulge in this perfectly-spiced chai anytime I’d like.

So what are you waiting for? Enter my giveaway by following the steps below, and then click on over to the other 8 blogs to enter their giveaways as well!

And Then There Were Three

As many of you have figured out by now, Dan and I love our board games. We often play with just the two of us, and love having game nights with our friends. But starting this March, we’ll be adding a third player to our family game nights…

Savvy Baby Announcement

!!!!

PS: I’m going to try to keep most baby-related things off of Savvy Eats. If you want to hear occasional pregnancy updates or the like, I’d suggest following me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!
